Traditional honey from the slopes of Gardunha
Concept
Our products are honey, in three varieties, rosemary, heather and multifloral, produced on the slopes of the Gardunha between Cova da Beira and the plain of Castelo Branco. Area of abundant water, oaks, pines and Mediterranean flora, it makes the transition between the north of Portugal and the south allowing an apicultural exploitation in zones of ecological excellence.
Rosemary Honey: Taken in the plain of Castelo Branco has the following characteristics:
Color: Gold color
Taste: Soft
Aroma: Sweet scent
The rosemary plants grow spontaneously by the plain of Castelo Branco, it is a honey with great notoriety in Portugal. Its golden color reminiscent of gold, has a mild taste and its aroma and quite sweet due to its high concentration of fructose, being recommended in sugar-free diets is a natural sweetener. Several studies have shown anticancer properties of this honey, in addition, it helps to prevent degenerative diseases.
Heather Honey: Taken on the slopes of Serra da Gardunha and Cova da Beira, it has the following characteristics:
Color: Dark Reddish
Taste: Strong
Aroma: intense
The honey of heather, a mountain honey found at altitudes up to 1200 meters, already has a dark reddish color, with intense aromas. It is effective in treating rheumatism and problems with the urinary tract and kidneys. It also helps in cases of respiratory diseases and has excellent effects on the prostate.
Multifloral Honey: Taken on the slopes of Serra da Gardunha and Cova da Beira has the following characteristics:
Color: Amber, dark
